Here's Rick, or "Rick7" on the boards, with a 20# striper he took on, of all things, 6# test and an outfit intended for some kingfish. He told me the story just the other day. While bass fishing with a bigger outfit, he decided to try for some kingfish with a tiny hook and just a piece of clam strip for bait with a fresh water spinning outfit...guess which rod the bass grabbed? :) |
Rick again with a late December keeper from this past season...and a
nice one! While any other year, this would have been extremely
rare, this year fish of this size were around right through to the last
few trips I took...amazing! I'm guessing this one went about 15#'s, but
since he didn't say, we'll call it 10! :) That'll teach him not to tell
me their weights!! ;^) |
![]() Just what I needed to see...nice surf, no wind...overcast. This is what a "perfect" surf for the little Loomis spinning outfit looks like...and I'm all a flutter just thinkin' what I could do there with a 5" green over white Mambo and red&white teaser! Rick tells me that a "friend" took this shot of Rick without his knowledge...he found on the windshield of his car after he was fishing one day...that's a nice friend! :) Nice pictures Rick, lookin' forward to some more! |
