Dan's arguably the youngest of the guys I striped bass fish with, but don't let that fool you, he's one of the thinkers..he doesn't let things happen without thoroughly mulling them over, he's a "ponderer." He posts on SurfTalk as Oakey. He'll go far. He's also one of the funniest guys I know, a sense of humor that can certainly have you rolling in short order...and a genuine and sincere guy...he's a good blend. He must have stock in Snapple, as he never shows up here without the "brown bag"....full of Snapple! He and his father share the same passion, that is something I admire....

On the left is DanO,
a.k.a. Oakie, with a nice fat January keeper! It was a
nice fish, there were an awful lot of these 15# class
fish caught by me and the guys this January...more than
there were in November! Dan got this one with me one
night not too long ago. I had a nice keeper or two the
same night, Dan conveniently "lost" the camera
for those moments...and I released them. But, when we got
back to the truck, there was the camera and we scored a
few pictures with a very nice January keeper! Way to go
Dan...you gonna help me find a February keeper?!? :)
Above is Dan with a lil' tog (blackfish) that he caught on a recent toggin' trip. He called me at 6:0am that icy cold morning to go with him...but I had only gotten to bed 3 hours earlier, I was out freezing my butt off all night with Paul, catching stripers like the middle of October...too shot to Tog! Dan's roommate Geddis is to the left here, with his "trophy" bergall! ;^) Click on the lil' bergall in his hand for a close up! Geddis does have some pictures of bass that he caught this year, his first year of bass fishing...when I get those pictures, I'll set up his own page and take down the bergall...I figure that ought to be incentive! Way to go guys, I'll see ya in the spring! |

Dan on the left with a nice, fat 20 pounder taken very early this spring, a very nice fish! He caught this fish chunking, but early in the year it's either chunks or worms, I'll take the chunks anytime over worms anytime! Nice one... Above, here's Dan with a yellowfin tuna...I don't know what it weighed, but I bet it was more than the bass on the left! Another nice fish Dan! I don't know who looks more stunned, the tuna or Dan? I guess they both had "one of those" days! Keep 'em coming Dan...and how about a Geddis picture?!? |
