Don't know much about Yard Machines except their lawn stuff is cheap. You get what you pay for. I have a Toro 622, about 7 years old. 6HP x 22 in 2 stage machine. 2 stage is the key. It will sling wet snow including slush if it has a good drive belt with 25+ feet no problem. I live in southern New England so get varying types of snow. I love the thing. I have a 100ft driveway and can clear it in about 1 hour. Any blower will beat a snow shovel.
