If strictly NYC, I would go with choice 6.......nothing like dirty water dogs with kraut and the red onions....
.....but I ain't that fussy/concerned to have to worry about the will thing, most any pushcart in Manhattan or Newark will do...![]()

live nearby,
no fan of their hotdogs, overpriced tourist trap, i would go with grays papaya over katz, outside of NYC their is a guy selling dogs out of a trailer in hicksville, rt 107 near the southern state by the mobil station. i go there to see a customer on a regular basis and probably best dogs around. as far as food in NYC, 20 yrs ago, NYC was great for just about anything, Dogs, Pizza, Bagels, Falafel, Now, be hard pressed to find 1 that stands out, and would want to get again. |

Hardly ever get hot dogs and don't understand the fixation. Why is one is going to taste better than another, assuming they are using the same product. What I mean to say is, shouldn't a dirty water sabrette from one cart (or place) taste the same as another dirty water sabrette from another cart?

"By the loosest use of the term, Hallo Berliin is a hot dog cart. There are wieners, wursts, kielbasas, and meatballs, and it is possible to get them in a bun. The "Freakin Deal" consists of meatballs with a knockwurst, German potato salad, red and wine cabbage, and a crusty roll. The pair of meatballs are topped with hot horseradish and hot mustard. What a wonderful meal!"

That is their own relish, it is honest to god unique. Some sweet, a touch of hot and a bit of sour. Reviews from all over the usa are great, check them out.
A Flo's special has the relish, mayo and a shake of celery salt.
